She was a native of Johnson County, daughter of the late John Franklin and Savannah Smith Bridges, widow of Fearel Woodrow Jacobs, member of First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church, retired Singer Company employee, and was preceded in death by an infant son; three sisters, Lennie Randell and Nettie Jacobs and Edith Bridges; three brothers, Oren Bridges, Erna Bridges and Noah Thomas Smith and one great great grandson, Maddox Redman.

She is survived by three daughters, Jean Iddings, Shirley Price and Phyllis Galbreth ,one son, Bobby Jacobs ; one sister, Magdalene Dobbs ; one brother, Olen Bridges; 10 grandchildren, Randy, Johnny and Deborah Cline, Cindy Phillips, Greta Roughley, Stacy Jacobs, Kevin Jacobs, Matthew, Steven and Becky Galbreth; 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
