Mary Wilson Wooton, 77, of Taylor, Mich., and formerly of Winfield, passed away January 9, 1992 at the Holy Cross Hospital in Detroit, Mich. Born in Scott County on July 14, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Wilson and the late Savanah Wilson. She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Lawrence and George Wilson; and one infant sister, Edna Wilson. She was a member of the Flat Wood Church of Christ in Corbin, Ky. Survivors include her husband, Sherman Wooton of Taylor, Mich.; one son, Sherman Wooton, Jr. of Semi Valley, Cal.; two daughters: Patricia Wooton of Bellesville, Mich.; and Deidra Meade of Monroe, Mich.; two brothers Willie (Bill) Wilson, and Marion (Wolford) Wilson, both of Winfield; one sister, Polly Walker of Muncie, Ind.; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and many other relatives survive also. Funeral services were conducted from the West-Murley Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 14, with the Rev. Jim Day and the Rev. Clifford Reel officiating. Burial followed in the Wilson Cemetery in Winfield. Serving as pallbearers were Douglas Meade, Danny Wooton, Maynard Cross, Manford Cross, Larry Fults and Austin Chasteen. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements
