Decatur Man Dies From Fall

William Earl Rose, 52, of 504 Go0rdon Dr. SW, died about 3 p.m. Monday in a Huntsville hospital after falling from a scaffold at Redstone Arsenal.

Mr. Rose, who was doing construction work, reportedly fell about 50 feet. He had been employed at Redstone for about a year.

A lifelong resident of Decatur, Mr. Rose was a member of Central Methodist Church.

The body was to be returned to the residence this afternoon and remain there until 1 p.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to Central Methodist Church to lie in state until 2.''Funeral services will be conducted at Central at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Jimmie Rodgers. Burial is to be in City Cemetery with Brown Funeral Co. of Decatur directing.

Mr. Rose is survived by the widow, Mrs. Earl Rose, Decatur; one daughter, Sharon M. and one son, William Goodwin Rose, and one sister, Mrs. Willie Johnson, all of Decatur, and one brother, Hollis Rose of Vicksburg, Miss.

Pallbearers are to be Wray Handley, Odie Cavnar, Garland Roberts, Wallace Church, Gilbert Edwards, and Turner Davis.
