ROGERS KILLS THRASHER...
M. Thrasher, a share cropper on the farm of L.C. Rogers about six miles east of Ashland, was shot five tmes by a revolver in the hand of Rogers Tuesday morning and died immediately after the shoothing. Rogers came to Ashland and gave himself up to the sheriff and was placed in jail to await his preliminary hearing here tomorrow (Friday) morning. It seems that Rogers and Thrasher had been having trouble all during the year, and the trouble was aggravated Tuesday over the gathering of the crop, culminating in the death of Thrasher. It is a very sad affair. Thrasher is survived by a wife and several children. Rogers also has a wife.

CARD OF THANKS...
To Our Many Friends:
We wish to thank you for the kindness shown us at the death of our dear husband and father, also for the nice box we received from the Ashland friends. We shall never forget the wonderful way you proved to be our friends in this sad hour of trouble.
Mrs. M. Thrasher and Children
