Brenda Kay Buchanan was born on August 23, 1947, in Chickasha, Oklahoma. She died on November 15, 2006, in Palm Springs, California.
Brenda graduated from Chickasha High School in 1966. After graduation, she was employed by Pet Milk Company and Sentry Corporation in Chickasha. She moved to California in 1977, where she was employed by Thrifty Drug Company. Brenda retired from Thrifty Drug in Palm Springs, California in November of 1997 with 20 years of service.
Brenda was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Palm Springs and maintained her faith in the Lord until her untimely passing
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Larry Buchanan.
Survivors include: Brother and wife: John and Kathy Buchanan of Enterprise, Alabama; Brother: Jack Buchanan of Palm Springs, California; Uncle: Bobby Dayton; Aunts: Deanna Huffman and Kathryn Dayton; Nieces and Nephews: Nick Buchanan, Trish Buchanan, Bobbie Buchanan, Rodney Buchanan; Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
