Warren Hamlin Dies On Trip In Columbia
Warren Hamlin, 66, long time member of Medford's automotive business, recently retired from Hamlin Motors, died this morning in Cartagena, Colombia, South America.
Mr. and Mrs. Hamlin left Medford this month for a cruise and were scheduled to continue soon to the Caribbean. No details of his death were available this morning. Notice was received by his sons, Tom Hamlin and John Hamlin, Medford.

Funeral Services Set Wednesday For Warren B. Hamlin
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday for Warren B. Hamlin, 66, of 2309 Hillcrest Road, Medford, who died Nov. 28 in a hospital at Cartagena, Colombia, S.A.
The services will be held at the Perl Funeral Home with Dr. D. Kirkland West, officiating. Private interment will be in the family plot in Siskiyou Memorial park.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ray Sorenson, Kay Olson, C. Von Hickman, L. F. (Buster) Ivanhoe, Bill Heath and Stan Biden. Active pallbearers will be Mason McDermont, Bill Morgan, Tom Shoop, Frank Perl, Otto J. Frohnmayer and Glen Fabrick.
Persons who wish to contribute to a memorial for Mr. Hamlin may make donations to the Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital in Portland.
Mr. Hamlin, who was born in Medford, the son of Charles A. and Nora Hamlin of Southern Oregon pioneer families, had lived his life in this city. He was on a tour, accompanied by his wife, the former Kathryn Sweeney of Medford, when death occurred.
He attended Medford schools, graduating from high school in 1926. He continued his education at Oregon State University where he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
He entered business in Medford following college and owned and operated the Chrysler Automobile Agency for many years.
His activities included a wide span of interests. He was a member of the Salvation Army Board, president of the local chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, First Presbyterian Church, and the Rogue Valley Country Club. He was a member of the Medford Elks Lodge for 40 years and was a Mason and a member of Hillah Temple of the Shrine.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Mrs. Kathryn Hamlin, are two sons, John Hamlin and Tom Hamlin and four grandchildren, all of Medford.
