Services for Mrs. Helen Robert Whatley, 63, of Morton, were held Friday, January 5, 1990 at 2:30 p.m. from Magee Colonial Chapel with Rev. Bobby Ivy and Rev. James Easterling officiating. Interment was at Goodwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee.
Mrs. Whatley died Wednesday, January 3, 1990 at MS Baptist Medical Center. She was a housewife and a member of Crossroad Holiness Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Walter William Whatley of Morton; five sons; W.C. Whatley of Puckett, Bill Whatley of Morton, Charlie Whatley of Raleigh, Roger Whatley of Bryan, TX, and Jr. Whatley of Wyoming; two daughters; Peggy Griffin of Morton and Alice Moore of Seminary; five brothers; Hollis, Ralph, Dan and Andrew Easterling all of Raleigh, and Willie Ray Easterling of Taylorsville; four sisters; Gladys Smith of Columbus, Mary Williams of Stringer, Velma Buffington of Raleigh and Aundean Easterling of Jackson.
