Bixler - Shively.
A very pretty wedding was solemnized at 11 o'clock this morning at the residence of John P. Shively, Esq., in Lower Frankford township. It was the occasion of the marriage of his only daughter, Miss Mary, to Mr. Joseph F. Bixler, a teacher in the public schools of Bloserville. The two were made man and wife in the presence of about forty guests by the Rev. Dr. A. H. Kremer, of Carlisle, with the beautiful ceremony of the Reformed Church. The groom's best man was Mr. C. F. Bixler, a student at Princeton College and cousin to the groom. The bride's cousin, Miss Laura K. Shively, of Newville, was maid of honor. Mrs. Landis, a friend of the contracting parties, played the wedding march with excellent taste and precision of execution.
After congratulations had been received all assembled participated in the dinner. At 2:13 o'clock Mr. and Mrs. Bixler took the train at this place and will visit Philadelphia, Washington and Baltimore. The presents were handsome and numerous.
