Funeral Services for Roy Wesley Baker, 53, of Omega, Georgia, who died Saturday in Tift General Hospital, will be held at 2pm Tuesday at Omega Methodist Church.

Born Feb. 20, 1928 in Colquitt County, Ga., Mr. Baker was assistant manager of Rose Mart Gardens. He was a son of John & Mamie Horton Baker of Omega, Ga, he was of the Methodist faith, veteran of the Korean War and had lived most of his life in Tift County, Ga.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Betty Braddy Baker of Omega; two sons, Wesley Thomas Baker and Donald Roy Baker, both of Omega; a daughter, Mrs. Ramona Renee Baker Swain of Omega; two brothers both from Tallahassee, Florida, David Ras Baker and John Leon Baker; two sisters, Mrs. Vivian Baker Spratt of Tallahassee, Florida, and Mrs. Louise Martin of Tifton and two grandchildren.

The Revs. Bill Willis and Cecil Westbrook will officiate, with entombment in Omega Cemetery.

Nephews: Kenny Baker, Jerry Baker, Timmy Baker, Johnny Baker, Gary Baker, Alex Baker, Mike Baker, Brooks Baker and Wayne Martin will serve as active pallbearers.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lamar Swain, Bert Horton, Gerald White, William Smith, Morris Layfield, Tommy Griffin, Horace White, Mack Griffin, Ray Underwood, Walter Donald, Bobby Leslie and Ron Shipman.

The body will be at Bowen-Donaldson Home until 1 pm Tuesday, when it will be placed in the church.
