Mrs. Peter Peterson of this city passed to the great beyond Sunday, February 28 at 3 p.m. after a serious illness of 2 mths. Death was caused by neuritis and complications from influenza and pneumonia. She had been in poor health for some time. Mrs.Peterson, whose maiden name was Gina Holt, she with her parents to this community in 1878, settling on a claim one and a half miles northwest of Garvin and moved with her parents to Tracy later. She was one of the pioneer women of this community. Gina Peterson was a lady of many excellent qualities, she had a good kind cheerful disposition and had many friends. Funeral services were held from the home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday and 2:00 p.m. from the Zion church, Rev U.L. Larsen, pastor of the church, officiating.
