Son to Gustav A. Hoferer and Elizabeth Jane Giles, he of German and she of English immigration. Arthur married Alice Peters 1911 at Flora,Illinois home of her older sister Nell Wieldt. He worked in the Steam dept. at CILCO, and they had two daughter's Jeanette Elizabeth, and Ruth Henrietta. They raised thier daughter's in the home his father built on Widenham st.
