Clara Minnie Henze was born January 21, 1919 on the family farm in rural Mt. Lake, the daughter of Ferdinand and Lena (Grunst) Henze, Clara grew up on the family farm and was the youngest of eight children. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Darfur. She attended grades one through eight at rural school close to her home and two more years of high school in Mt. Lake. On January 21, 1941 Clara was united in marriage to Uko Junker on the Henze home farm, rural Mt. Lake. In 1946 they bought and moved to a farm North of Darfur. Clara was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church in Comfrey and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, gardening, baking and playing cards. In 1984 Clara and Uko retired and moved to St. James where they became members of First Lutheran Church. During their retirement, they enjoyed traveling, and spending time with family. Uko passed away in 2002 and Clara continued to live in their home until April 2008, when she moved to Brandt Ridge Assisted Living. In November 2009, Clara entered Pleasant View Good Samaritan Center until passing away peacfully on Sunday, April 11th.

Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Uko, son, Stanley, brothers, Edward, Conrad, Carl, Ferdinand, Jr., sisters, Augusta Johnson and Helen Janzen. He is survived by her children Norman (Monica) Junker of St. James, Marcella "Marci" (Delbert) Samualson of St. James, Delwin (Evelyn) Junker of Comfrey, Donna Sandbo of Mankato, sister, Mary Johnson of Mt. Lake, sister-in-law, Nellie Peterson of Comfrey, brother-in-law, Rudolph Junker of Mt. Lake, 9 grandchildre, 9 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
