IUKA - Virgie Mars, 100, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, at the Tishomingo Manor Nursing Home. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. A loving mother, she enjoyed babysitting.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Cutshall Funeral Home Chapel in Iuka with Bro. Earl Martin officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Lloyd "Buddy" Mars of Iuka; three daughters, Ora Faye Wadkins and Annette Nunley, both of Iuka, and Cora Mae Berryman of Atlanta, Ga.; a half brother, Ezra Aldridge of Walnut; 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Mars; two daughters, Pauline Hendrix and Floy Schaffer; a son, Gerald Mars; a grandson, J. W. Hendrix; and two great-grandsons, Don McDuffy and Nicky Tubbs.

Pallbearers will be Dale Wadkins, Michael Wadkins, Chad Haygood, Tim Trickey, Justin Trickey and Mike Welch.

Visitation will continue until service time today.
