Sulphur- Claudia Hanks, 70, died Saturday, April 10, 2010, in a local hospital.
She was the daugther of Norris Monceaux & Clemonia Domingue.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. She was a member of Our Lady of Lasalette Catholic Church and the Red Hat Society. Claudia enjoyed doing ceramics and pottery, and she loved going shopping.
Survivors include sons, Nicholas Hanks, and Anthony Hanks and wife, Jo Ann; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Hanks; one sister, Elaine Landry and husband, Dwight; one brother, J.C. Monceaux and wife, Jackie, all of Sulphur; and three grandchildren, Kristi Hanks, Brianna Hanks, and Kaleigh Hanks. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Leroy Hanks; a son, Randy Hanks; and a brother, Chester Monceaux.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, in Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home. The Rev. Johnny Mounce' will officiate. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery South in Carlyss. Visitation is from 4-9 p.m. today with a rosary service at 7 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
