Son of Horace W. Guild and Lillian Edna Rogers Guild.

George, who resided at 211 West Thirty-Fourth Street, Wilmington, Delaware, served as a Staff Sergeant and tail gunner on a B-24J Liberator Bomber (#42-73046), U.S. Army Air Force during World War II.

He enlisted in the Army on January 20, 1943 in Camden, New Jersey. He was noted as Single, without dependents.

George died in the "Line Of Duty", along with ten other airmen, when his B-24 crashed at Station 512/RAF St. Mawgan, Cornwall, England during the war.

He had served in the Air Air Force for nine months at the time of his death.
