Shreveport - Services for Mr. Dewey H. McCravy, Sr., 776, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 27, in Broadmoor Baptist Church with Dr. John Sullivan, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Osborn Funeral Home.
Mr. McCravy died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 1987, in Schumpert Medical Center. He was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church and on the Board of Deacons. He was a native of Jonesboro, La., a long-time resident of Shreveport, and retired from Shreveport Transit Co.
Survivors include one son, Dewey H. McCravy Jr. and wife, Sandy, of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, Dewey H. McCravy III of Dallas; a granddaughter, Terri McCravy Burleson and husband, Terry Don Burleson of Lubbock, Texas, a granddaughter Vicki Ann Fanguy and husband, Jim Fanguy, of Bossier City; two sisters, Ruby Johnson of Longview, Texas, Cledice McKeivy of Dallas, and an uncle Gurley McCravy of Shreveport.
Pallbearers are Fred W. Kerly, Gurley McCravy, Alex Campbell, Calvin Reese, W.A. Hendrick, Charles Biggs, Edward Tucker, and Willis Herring. Honorary bearers are deacons of the Broadmoor Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Manna House.
