Rennys will is on ancestry trees: It states he is in sound mind but poor health and that his wife Nancy ran off and left him with 9 children and he does not want her to get any of his estate when he dies.

Elizabeth Caroline " Tinny " Powers Marett, Marys sister, lived with Samuel and Mary until she married John Baylous Marett in 1908. When he died she again went to live with them until she died. The 1900 Census for Center Oconee Co., SC shows Elizabeth and John did not have children.
