Murray London Williams, 70, died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services conducted at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Scott Aleridge and Dan Buie officiating.
The Maury County native was the son of the late Malcolm Williams, Sr. and Elora Hill Williams.
He worked various jobs around Columbia before becoming disabled. Mr. Williams is remembered for his daily walking in the downtown area and loved drinking coffee and visiting with his many friends in local restaurants.
In recent years he faithfully attended First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his sisters, Carolyn Juanita (Dan) Buie of Lawrenceburg, Mildred Sue Williams of Columbia, Shirley Ann (William) Palmer of Ethridge, and Kathy Marie Johnson of Lawrenceburg; brothers, Malcolm Warden Williams, Jr. of LaVergne, James Arling (Linda) Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada, David (Mary) Williams Culleoka, and Charles Williams of Columbia; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Moody Williams.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
