LORIS - Thelma Mae Cox Shannon, 74, a retired employee with Marlene Industries, died Sunday in a local hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today in Live Oak Baptist Church. Burial, directed by Hardwick Funeral Home, will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Shannon was born in Loris, a daughter of Tillie Cox and Dora Simmons Cox. She was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Carlton C. Shannon of Loris; three daughters, Linda F. Shannon and Teresa S. Burns, both of Loris, and Edna G. Roberts of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a brother, Morris Cox of Loris; twelve grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
