Composer. Born in Austria, he wrote some of the most popular songs and film music of the 1920s and 1930s. In 1935, he began his film work or MGM with contributions to such Hollywood movies as "Mutiny on the Bounty", "San Francisco", "A Day At The Races", "Three Smart Girls" and "A Night At The Opera" among others. During an annual visit to Europe, he died of a heart attack in Budapest, at the age of 67.
