QUANAH - Joe Poole Jr., 85, died Friday, April 9, 2010, in Vernon.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Smith Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Spangler, minister of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Goodlett Cemetery by Smith Funeral Home.
Mr. Poole was born June 23, 1924, in Van Buren, Ark., to Joseph B. and Vinna Sherman Poole. He married Mildred Lucille Lowry on June 12, 1947, in Guthrie, Okla.
Survivors include four daughters, Sharon Carroll, Delores Smith and Janet Spangler, all of Quanah, and JoAnn Lane of Vernon; a sister, Betty Griffin of Quanah; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
