ADRIAN, Mich. — Jean Raymond, 65, of Adrian went home to be with her Lord on Friday, April 9, 2010, at Toledo Hospital.
She was born Jan. 7, 1945, in Piedmont, Ala., to G.W. and Relzie Mae (Tolbert) McFry. On Aug. 24, 1963, she married Jack R. Raymond in Whittaker, Mich., and he survives. Jean was a member of Berean Baptist Church, where she enjoyed decorating, working with the senior citizens and helping with missions and banquets. She also loved interior decorating, traveling, scrapbooking, floral arranging and most of all spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her father, G.W. McFry of Canton, Mich; one daughter, Johnna (Adam) Camacho of Adrian; two sons, Jay (Colleen) Raymond of Holland, Mich., and Justin (Angelle) Raymond of Adrian; three siblings, Gary Wayne (Sylvia) McFry of Piketon, Ohio, Yvonne (Jim) Caruana of Wayne, Mich., and Ron (Kathie) McFry of Canton, Mich; and five grandchildren, Jasmine, BreAnne, Jacob, Kaya and Jeffrey. She was preceded in death by her mother and a grandson, Jayson.
Funeral services for Jean will be held on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Berean Baptist Church with Dr. R. Michael Cox and Pastor Doug Rogers co-officiating. Burial will be in Lenawee Hills Memorial Park, Adrian. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home and also on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at Berean Baptist Church.
