Daniel V. Stouffer, 76, of 143 Ridge Avenue, died at 4:15 a.m. today at his home. He had been In failing health for the last three years and had been critically ill since May 2.
Mr. Stouffer was born at Smithsburg R.D. 2, September 21, 1888, a son of the late Joseph H. and Annie (Oller) Stouffer. Most of his life had been lived in the Waynesboro
area. He farmed for a number of years following his marriage to Mary S. Mentzer in 1910. He later worked at Good Lumber Co., and was last employed at Wayne Tool Co. Since his retirement In 1954 he and Mrs. Stouffer had made their home on Ridge Avenue.
Mr. Stouffer attended Jacob's Church. In addition to his widow he is survived by these children: Mrs. Lee Monn, WaynesboroR. D. 1; Mrs. Irene Funk, Mrs. Raymond Helman, Ralph D. Stouffer, all of Waynesboro; Joseph K. Stouffer, Mount Aetna; Mrs. Froncy M. Dail, Wayne Heights ; Fred V. Stouffer, George R. Stouffer, both of Waynesboro R.D. 3, and Mrs.
Joseph W. Sellhamer, Zullinger. Also surviving are 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, a brother Arby A . Stouffer and a sister Mrs. Harry J. Bare, both of Waynesboro.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Grove Funeral Home in charge
of the Rev. John F. Huff and the Rev. Robert D. Crees. Burial will be made In Green Hill
Cemetery.
