Isabel Jenkins, 87, of Kahoka, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 1983 at the Clark County Nursing Home.

The daughter of Walter and Mary Minnie Sommer White, whe was born June 13, 1896 in Clark County.

She married Herbert C. Jenkins of Carthage, Ill., on Jan. 4, 1919. He preceded her in death on Jan. 12, 1972.

She is survived by one son: William Edward (Ted) Jenkins of Kahoka; a daughter: Mrs. William G. (Marianna) Barneyback of Curryville; a granddaughter: Mrs. John (Denise) Hartford of Atlantic, Iowa; a grandson: Greg Jenkins of Kahoka; two great grandsons: Adam and Ryan Hartford.

She was preceded in death by two infant sisters.

Mrs. Jenkins was a former member of the Clark County D.A.R. Chapter;

Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 10 a.m. at the Wilson Funeral Home with the Rev. William Harper officiating. Burial in Kahoka Cemetery.

Organist was Mrs. Margaret Davis. Pallbearers were Robert Huffman, Bill Fry, Deane Meinhardt, Eugene Danner, Glenn Mohr and Leo Waggener Jr.

Memorials may be made to the Clark County Nursing Home.
