Mr. Barrineau was born in Williamsburg County on October 9,1903, a son of the late Thomas Anderson Barrineau and Mrs. Janie Baylor Barrineau. He had spent his entire life in the Andrews area where he was in the dry cleaning business until his retirement. Mr. Barrineau was a member of the First Baptist Church of Andrews.
He was survivedd by his widow, Mrs. Lizzie Ann Barrineau Barrineau of Andrews; two sons, Carroll T. Barrineau Jr. and Thomas O. Barrineau, both of Andrews; seven daughters, Mrs. Hazeline B. Morris, Mrs. LaJean B. Owens, Mrs. Bronte B. Scott, Mrs. Delaine B. Payne, Mrs. Sonya B. McConnell, and Mrs. Rebecca B. Smith, all of Andrews, and Mrs. Gwendolyn B. Ward of Sullivans Island; twenty-six grandchildren; four brothers, Theron Barrineau of Fort Lawn, Eddie M. Barrineau and Algie Barrineau, both of Lancaster and Sam Barrineau of Hartsville; and a sister, Mrs. Dorese B. Moree of Rock Hill.
Funeral services were Monday, September 15, 1975, in the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne Stevens officiated.
Burial, directed by Mayer Funeral Home, followed in Andrews Memorial Cemetery.
