Mrs. Mary Alice Snelling, 68, wife of Homer N.Snelling, died Sunday at 9 a.m. in her home, 440 North 21st Street. She had been ill several months.
Born Oct.19, 1877, in St. Louisville, she was the daughter of Stephen and Catherine (Yoder) Ritter and had made Newark her home since 1922. Surviving are her husband, three sons, Harry Freas of Steubenville, Maurice and Raymond Freas of Newark; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred Ritter of Warren.
Mrs. Snelling was a member of the Second Church of Christ.
The body will be returned to the home today from Criss Brothers funeral home and Tuesday will be taken to the funeral home again where services will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Rev.H.H. Hoover will officiate and burial will be made in Evans cemetery.
