Youngest daughter of Arthur Joseph and Fern Holler Phelan, Karen attended St. Catherine of Siena Grade School and graduated from Sacred Heart Central High School in 1958.
She married her high school sweetheart, Joseph Lambert in St. Catherine Church on August 20, 1960. Shortly before her marriage, Karen was diagnosed with systemic lupus.
Joe and Karen lived most of their married years in Beech Grove where they attended Holy Name Catholic Church. They were blessed with two children - Richard and Susan.
Karen died from systemic lupus in 1983 at the age of 42. Joe remarried later, but died in 1997 from cancer.
We miss them both more than we can say.
