Ethel W. Landrith, age 92, passed away April 8, 2010. She was born March 13, 1918, in Orlando, OK, to Adolf and Frieda (Koepke) Friedemann. Mrs. Landrith was raised in Stillwater, OK, and returned there to live the last 25 years. She recently moved to Rockwall to be with her family. Mrs. Landrith was a school teacher for many years until her retirement. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Salem Lutheran Church and enjoyed volunteering at Stillwater Medical Center.
Mrs. Landrith is survived by her son: Mark Landrith & wife Cynthia of Rockwall, TX; grandsons: Travis Landrith & wife Tara of Frisco, TX, and Justin Landrith & wife Laci of McKinney, TX; brother: Adolph Friedemann & wife Florence of Stillwater, OK; and many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband: Wilbert Landrith; her parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, April 10, 2010, at Salem Lutheran Church, 101 S. Duck, Stillwater, OK, with Pastor Cheryll Armstrong-Kaukis officiating. Interment will follow in Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery, Perry, OK. The family will receive friends Friday evening at Strode Funeral Home, Stillwater, OK, from 7:00 to 8:00pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stillwater Medical Center Auxiliary, PO Box 2408, Stillwater, OK, 74076.
