Graveside service for Edward Dwayne Cummings, age 65, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2007, at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma. Rev. Alice Wendling will officiate.

Edward Dwayne Cummings was born the son of William Clarence Cummings and Mary Madeline Brewer Cummings on September 3, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He died on April 24, 2007, in Chickasha.

Edward grew up in Oklahoma City. He entered the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. After returning from the war, he lived in Chandler, Din-lean, and Oklahoma City where he worked at various jobs. In his younger years, he helped his father farm. He married Nina House on October 11, 1963, in Chandler. In 1970, they moved to Chickasha where he continued farming and working at various jobs.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, and a sister.

Survivors include: Wife: Nina Cummings of the home; Son: Eddie Wayne Cummings of Midwest City; Son: Terry Cummings of Chickasha; Daughter-in-law: Trish Cummings of Duncan; Daughter & Husband: Tina & Jimmy Fullerton of Duncan; Ten Grandchildren; One Great-Grandchild; Sister: Veronica Mayden of Oklahoma City; Sister: Pansy Freeman of Midwest City;

Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
