Joseph Noga, 92, of Elyria died Saturday at the Elms Retirement Village in Wellington after a brief illness.
Born in Pennsylvania, he lived in Elyria for most of his life. He also had lived for a brief time in Wakeman before moving to the Elms Retirement Village a year ago.

Mr. Noga worked as an inspector for Norfolk & Western Railroad in Spencer, Ohio. He retired in 1974 after 45 years of service.

Mr. Noga was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen (nee Banik); a sister, Mary; and a brother; Frank.

Friends may call 9 a.m. Tuesday until services begin at 10 a.m. at Bauer-Laubenthal Funeral Home, Chestnut Ridge Road and State Route 57 in Elyria.

The Rev. Richard J. Docekal, pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in Oberlin, will officiate.

Burial will follow at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria, where VFW Post 1079 will conduct military honors.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 43099 North Ridge Road, Elyria 44035.
