David A. Coburn, age 82, of Eaton, OH, passed away suddenly on Thursday morning, April 8, 2010. Born November 2, 1927 in Middletown, OH, he was the son of the late Frank & Betty (Stamper) Coburn. He proudly served in the US Navy for a total of 12 years in WW II, Korea and in the Seabees as a Reservist. He retired in 1990 as a stationary engineer having worked for Hamilton Power & Light, NCR in Dayton and Miles Laboratory in Dayton. Member of the Abbottsville United Methodist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by father-in-law & mother-in-law Ray & Annie Jones; grandson Timothy M. Buell; sister-in-law Peggy Jones; and brother-in-law & sister-in-law James & Mary Cail.

Survived by wife Ruby V. (Jones) Coburn whom he married October 28, 1957: children Richard Buell (Linda) of Middletown; Tim Buell (Bobbie) of Hamilton, OH; Michael Buell (Carla) of Hamilton; Dan Buell (Pam) of Germantown, TN; Terry Coburn of Hamilton; Jim Coburn (TeAnna) of Ft. Myers, FL; and Mary Jane Frost (Mel) of Eaton: 16 grandchildren: numerous great grandchildren and nieces and nephews,

Friends may call on the family from 12:00 - 2:00 PM Saturday, April 10, 2010 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM. Pastor Gordon Jones presiding. Interment Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery.
