SGT Jennings, Company B, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division, was last observed being taken prisoner, while fighting enemy forces near Wonju, South Korea on February 12, 1951. On February 16, 1954, his status was changed to presumed Killed in Action Remains Not Recovered. Jennings' name was inscribed on the Courts of the Missing.
