Edward W. Loper, 81, died Sunday in a local care center.
He was born Feb. 18, 1919, in Pittsburgh. A retired Air Force veteran, he was a retired buyer for the school district, a member of the Air Force Sergeants Association and a 42-year resident of Las Vegas.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; son, Richard; daughters, Jeanne White and Marsha Toms, all of Las Vegas and Janet Blake of Cedar City, Utah; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bunkers Mortuary. Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bridget's Catholic Church followed with burial in Paradise Memorial Gardens.
