Mrs. Clara A. Lee, a highly respected resident of Harrison died at her home Thursday night at 10:45 o’clock, after a short illness, from dropsy.

Clara Adella Berry was born in Dryden, Tompkins county, New York, Dec. 19, 1825. She was married to John Henry, Oct. 19, 1843, and in 1855 they moved to Illinois, settling in Harrison township, where she has since resided. Mr. Henry died of typhoid fever at Nashville, Tenn, Dec. 17, 1862, having gone there with the 74th Ill. Regiment. Four children were born to them. They were Merritt Henry, San Francisco, Rossett Fassett, Wyoming, Marietta Atkinson, Burritt township, and Clayton Henry of Charles City, Ia. The last named two are dead. Mrs. Henry later married J.B. Lee, who died in October, 1889.

There are 37 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Mrs. Lee’s stepsons, B.F. Lee of Rockford and Clinton Lee of Charles City, Ia., and Mrs. Clayton Henry, a daughter-in-law also of Charles City, Ia., are in Harrison to attend the funeral.

Mrs. Lee was a member of the Congregational church of Harrison, from which she will be buried Saturday morning at 10:30 o’clock, Rev. Collin to officiate.
