WILLIS - Mrs. Lynda Louise Willis, 25, R.R. 1, Roscoe, died at 8"20 p.m. Friday, May 5, 1957, in Illinois Research Hospital, Chicago, where she underwent open heart surgery May 2. Born June 12, 1941, in Beloit, Wis., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Nicholas. Lived lifetime in Rockton and Roscoe areas. Married to Jack Willis in Rockford Aug. 12, 1957. Employed as a secretary by Rockford Credit Bureau for three years. Attended Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Rockton. Graduated from Hononegah High School and attended Rockford School of Business. Survivors include: her husband; a son, Gregory John, at home; four stepchildren, Linda, Cathy, John Michael and Brian, all at home; her parents, in Rockton; and a brother, Donald Nicholas, Bloomington, Ind. A sister, Judy, preceded her in death.
Services at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, in Prince of Peace Lutheran Church (on Ill. 75 west of Rockton) with the Rev. Marcus Lewis, pastor, officiating. Burial in Rockton Cemetery, Arrangements by CHAPIN-MCCORKLE FUNERAL HOME, DURAND. Friends may call at the church after noon on Tuesday.
