Mrs. Ellen Johnson Roberts, 43, Rockton, died yesterday afternoon in Rockford hospital after a year's illness. She had been a patient at the hospital since Wednesday.
Funeral services probably will be held Wednesday, with the Rev. Merlin McGlarey of Rockton Methodist Episcopal church officiating, and burial will be in the Rockton cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of Starlight Chapter 404, Order of the Eastern Star, at Rockton, and had served as worthy matron and grand lecturer of the order. She also was a member of Rockton Woman's club and Gleaners class of the Rockton Methodist church.
She leaves her husband, a son, George; her mother, Charlotte Johnson, and a brother, George Johnson, all of Rockton.
