Christene (Chris) Trompler was born June 24, 1923, in Ringling, Oklahoma, to Andrew J. and Vera B. Simpson. She passed away Sunday, Aug 23,2009, in Pasadena, TX at the age of 86. Chris was married to Bill Prohoroff for 44 years until his death in June 1997. In 1999 she married Alvin "Buddy" Trompler.
She is survived by her four children: Alice and husband Ray Duke of Eufaula, OK; Linda and husband Charles of Peabody, KS; Andrew and wife Dixie of Pasadena, TX; Ann Sheffield and spouse Debbie Webster of LaMarque, TX; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; and 3 brothers, Bruce, Grady and James Simpson all of Oklahoma. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family and many friends.Interment was in the Waxahachie City Cemetery.
