Margaret Rachel Teague married Jacob O. Siler, Sr. at the age of 17 in the year 1789 in Chatham Co., North Carolina. They came to Kentucky in about 1806 and settled in Whitley County at Cane Creek, near Lot. Margaret Rachel and Jacob had 12 children 6 of them being born in NC and 6 in KY or on the way to KY. She and Jacob lived 33 years in Whitley Co., KY dying just 8 days apart with him dying March 22, 1839 and her on March 30, 1839. They have a huge monument erected there on September 22, 1900 by the Siler Reunion Society...Burgess Siler Commettee.
