MR. LEON C. MURDOCK
Mr. Leon C. Murdock, 64, a long-time Otsego druggist, died last Monday (Sept. 27) (1971) at Pipp Community Hospital, Plainwell.
Mr. Murdock was born August 30, 1897, in Trowbridge Twp., the son of Charles and Mary Murdock. He was a member of the First Congregational Church of Otsego and a charter member of the Otsego BPOE 1711, and held memberships in both the Michigan State and American Pharmaceutical Associations. He was a graduate of Ferris State College, Big Rapids and had been a registered pharmacist for 52 years, having been in business in Otsego for 40 years. Mr. Murdock was married to Helen F. Shears, Sept. 21, 1921, in Otsego. Surviving are one son, Robert A.; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Nevins, both of Otsego; 5 grandsons, Steven, David and Donald Murdock, Christopher and Michael Nevins. His wife, Helen preceded him in death in 1963, and a son, Leon Jr., in infancy, in 1922. Services were held Wednesday (29 Sep 1971) afternoon with burial in Mountain Home Cemetery.

Orleans Street, Otsego, passed away suddenly Monday (27 Sep 1971) at Pipp Community Hospital, Plainwell, Mr. Murdock was born August 30, 1897 in Trowbridge Township, Allegan County, Michigan, the son of Charles and Mary Murdock. He was a long-time member of the First Congregational Church of Otsego, a charter member of Otsego B.P.O.E. 1711 and held memberships in the American Legion, the Michigan State Pharmaceutical Association and the American Pharmaceutical Association. He was a graduate of Ferris State College, Big Rapids, a Registred Pharmacist for 52 years, having been in business in Otsego for 40 years. Mr. Murdock was married to Helen F. Shears, September 21, 1921.
Surviving are, 1 son, Robert A. of Otsego; 1 daughter, Mrs. Robert (Helen) Nevins Otsego; 5 grandsons. Steven, David and Donald Murdock, Christopher and Michael Nevins. His wife, Helen, Preceded him in death in 1963 and a son Leon Jr. in infancy in 1922.
Friends called at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where services were held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., Rev. Seth Clay officiating. Interment, Mountain Home Cemetery.
