Spouse, Mary Overhiser, sister of William Lafayette Overhiser, who established the Overhiser connection to California via a gold rush (1849) voyage around Cape Horn. Read his bio for details. William Discho family also settled and are laid to rest in the Rural Cemetery in Stockton, San Joaquin County near Overhiser Road (google any map). There is no doubt that William Overhiser shepherded these settlers in the later 19th. century.
Daniel also had a son, John H. born in 1861, who moved to Riverside, California via Essex, NJ in 1870 and then Illinois. John H. married Hallie May Mahan Thiss who died on October 23rd. 1945 in Los Angeles, CA. John died on January 23rd. In Riverside, CA.
