William Stanley Fox III

William "Billy" Fox, of New Castle DE, died after a brief illness on Monday, April 5, 2010 at Christiana Hospital, at the age of 37.

Born in Wilmington on February 25, 1973, Billy was a 1991 graduate of Salesianum High School. He was an equipment operator and construction foreman by profession and most recently, had been employed with Castle Construction and Cirrillo Brothers Inc. He also assisted with deliveries for his family's and Uncle Dick's business, Manor Pharmacy.

A longtime parishioner of Saint Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Billy was also a member of many local clubs, including Saint Anthony's Club in New Castle, where he greatly enjoyed spending time with his many friends.

Among his many other interests, he was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and an avid fan of NASCAR.

He is survived by his loving parents, Patricia (Cummings) Fox and William S Fox Jr of New Castle; devoted siblings, Joseph Fox of San Francisco CA; Maureen Sylvester (Todd) of Coronado CA; Suzanne Short (Bruce) of Lincoln University PA; and Nancy Gise (James) of Wilmington DE; girlfriend, Kim Johnstone of New Castle DE; and beloved aunts, Maureen Duffy of Westford MA and Kathleen Hackett of Lewes DE. He was also a loving uncle to his five nieces and three nephews.

Visitation was held on April 8, 2010 in New Castle DE. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, April 9, 2010, at Saint Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, New Castle DE. Interment followed at Saint Peter's Cemetery.
