Rhoda was born in Conway, SC, the daughter of Olivia L. Abrams and the late Delmus E. Abrams.
Surviving is her devoted husband of 52 years, Lavonne "Shorty" Martin; three sons, Dale Martin and wife Theresa of Myrtle Beach, David Martin of Walterboro and Donald Martin of Virginia; two sisters, Eugenia Polythriss and husband Tony of Pinehurst, NC and Victoria Dozier and husband Keith of Fredericksburg, VA; two brothers, Walter "Buddy" Abrams and wife Rebekka of Myrtle Beach and Steve Abrams and wife Gail of Myrtle Beach; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Tidelands Community Hospice, 2591 N. Fraser St. Georgetown, SC 29440. The family would like to thank Dr. William Jackson Epperson for his devotion and kindness through this difficult journey. Our family would also like to thank Tideland Community Hospice where loving care was truly matched by their outstanding professionalism. Eileen and Rachael, we will never forget you!!

Funeral services will be 2:00PM Saturday, April 10, 2010 at Midway Baptist Church, Hwy 15. Burial service will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
