DAVID P. BLODGETT, 82

David P. Blodgett, 82, R.R.3, Greensburg, died at 11:15 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 1988, in the Decatur County Memorial Hospital.

He was born Oct. 2, 1905, in Switzerland County, the son of Charles and Pearl Stout Blodgett. He was a self-employed stock truck driver. He married Bessie Brown, and she preceded him in death in 1971. He is survived by one daughter, Shirley Simmons, Indianapolis; five brothers: Clarence and Dawson Blodgett, both of Vevay, Ralph Blodgett, Noblesville, Sam Blodgett, Greensburg, and Maurice Blodgett, Florida; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

One son, David Blodgett Jr., preceded him in death in 1977, and one brother, Charles Blodgett, preceded him in death.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, Greensburg, with the Rev. Robert Hoffman officiating.

Burial will be in the South Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday.
