OBIT EDNA HEIMER DIED TODAYMrs. Edna Lee Heimer, 93, of Hanston died April 11 at the Hodgeman County Health Center. She was born Edna Lee Cowan Dec 27, 1886 at Everton, in Dade County, Missouri.She and L.B. Heimer were married Oct 14, 1909. She came as a bride to the Hanston area and had lived here since. Mr. and Mrs. Heimer operated Heimer's General Merchandising in Hanston for many years. Mr. Heimer died in October of 1960.Mrs. Heimer was a member of the United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, the WCTU, the YWCA, the Pawnee EHU and the Clothing circle, all of Hanston.She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Gwen Wilson of Hanston; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Heimer, Carlsbad, New Mexico; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James, in 1929.Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Hanston with the Rev. John Baker and the Rev. Sam Staley officiating. Burial was in the Hanston Cemetery. The Burkhart Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements. Family members suggested memorial contributions to the Hanston United Methodist Church building fund.
