Funeral services for Mrs. Narine Hetzler of Canton, who died Tuesday in Blessing hospital at Quincy, Ill., will be held Friday afternoon at 2 in First Baptist church here. The Rev. Aubrey Moncrief will officiate and burial will be in Forest Grove cemetery. Mrs. Hetzler was born Sept. 10, 1892, at Benjamin, a daughter of John Lee and Kathryn Eleanor Marks Higbee. She taught several years in the rural schools of Lewis county. She was a member of and served many terms as regent of the Dicey Langston chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also a member of the Jolly Neighbors and the Good Will clubs. She joined the New Prospect Baptist church when a girl and transferred her membership to the First Baptist church here in 1927. She was first married to Orange Gruber, who preceded her in death. She later was married to D. T. Hetzler, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ray (Evelyn) Anderson of Colton, Cal., and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Hayden of Colton. She was also preceded in death by an infant son and a brother.
