Funeral services for Mrs. May J. McDaniel were held Sunday, October 31, in the Barkley-Davis Funeral Home in Canton with the Rev. Robert Scott officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Earl Barkley at the organ. Pall bearers were Russell Lillard, Kenneth Tompkins, Richrd Brown, Don Brown, Ernest Lillard and James Brown. Burial was in Zion Hill Cemetery near Monticello. Mrs. McDaniel died Friday, October 29 at Dixon, Ill. May J. McDaniel, the daughter of John N. and Henrietta Keyes Brown, was born at Williamstown on April 16, 1886. She was married to John Robert McDaniel, at Williamstown on June 14, 1914. She taught in Canton and rural areas for several years. She was a member of the Baptist Church at Dixon, Ill. Survivors include nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers; and two sisters.
