They were the parents of seven children; four boys, Russell Earl, Charles Wesley, Chester Dean and William D who died as an infant in 1927 and three girls, Myrtle Florine, Leah Louise and Eula Christine. He later married Nellie Loyd.
He died October 22, 1985 and is buried in Memorial Park Cem, Vega, Oldham Co., Texas.
