MABEL B. CHURCH, RETIRED PRINCIPAL IN VIRGINIA BEACH
Mabel B. Church, 64, of the 1400 block of Twin Lake Road, a retired elementary education principal and supervisor, died June 10, 1990, in a hospital.
Mrs. Church, a native of Princess Anne County, had retired from Virginia Beach public schools after 40 years. She was a member of Francis Asbury United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of the Virginia Beach branch of Delta Kappa Gamma International sorority. She was a member of Virginia Teachers Association. Mrs. Church was elected to Who's Who in American Universities. She was a graduate of Madison College and received her master's degree from Old Dominion University.
Survivors include her husband, Harry D. Church; and a sister, Louise B. Taylor of Virginia Beach.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Princess Anne Memorial Park by the Rev. Joseph E. French. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Laskin Road.
Memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia Society.
