MARY JANE EASTEP
Mrs. Mary Jane Eastep, resident of Brannon Court, died Monday June 30,1997, in NHC Columbia Health Care following an extended illness.
Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday in the chapel of Williams Columbia Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Potts officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at 4-9 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
She was a native of Lewis County, the daughter of the late Calvin Lester and Mattie Caroline Hendricks Staggs. She was the wife of the late Lewie Eastep. She was a homemaker and a member of Whispering Hills Church of God in Summertown.
Survivers include three sons, William Earl Eastep of Leipers Fork, Horace E. Eastep and Mack A. Eastep, both of Columbia; five brothers, Robert Lee Staggs of Summertown, Marshall Staggs of Mt. Pleasant, James Staggs of Michigan, Charles Henry Staggs of Peoria, Ill. and Ollie Andrew Staggs of Florence, Ala.; four sisters, Maggie Staggs of Summertown, Lora Johnson of Lewisburg, Irene Blade of Lewisburg, and Alice Clayton of Manchester; seven grandchildren' three great-grandchildren; and several neices and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Lewie Anthony Eastep and two brothers, Horace H. Staggs and L.B. Staggs.
Pallbearers will be Billy Joe King Jr., Ricky eastep, Tommy Eastep, Carl Johnson, Jimmy Eastep ane Clement Ray Eastep.
