Thomas was a professional baseball player who played third base in 4 games for the Brooklyn Robins in the 1919 baseball season.

He was the son of John (1848-1920) and Mary A. (1855-1935) (Capelice) Fitzsimmons and brother to Eugene, John Joseph, James V., Lawrence, and Virginia Fitzsimmons.

He married late in life to Edna R. Costa, daughter of David A. (1868-1932) and May (1883-1919)(Lafferty) Costa of Oakland, Calif., born Sep 19, 1901 and she died just one day before Thomas, Dec. 19, 1971 in Fremont, Alameda Co., Calif.
No children.

Tom and Edna were my grandparents, Albert and Mabel (McKoy) Wohlken, life long friends. Also, Edna and Mabel were 1st. cousins.
